Sometimes replying to an email is the last thing you want to do. Sometimes the thought of clicking the reply button, opening up a new message, and beginning to type seems like the least desirable task in the world. And everyone has a different timeline of when they'd like you to respond. Some people are keyboard warriors, on their phones, computers, and tablets at all times ready to strike. These people scare me. They will get back to you within a minute, which is nice when you're waiting to hear about something, but terrifying once you realize they expect the same from you.
I prefer a gentler mode of communication. Let's pretend it's the 18th century and it takes days to get a letter back and forth. That I can handle. And certainly don't show up to my apartment and knock on the door asking me to respond. But that's what happened to one worker after she went on vacation. Read on for the story.
